PicLaser 2.1.2 - Unhandled exception

Postby BobF » Sun Jun 12, 2016 5:11 am

Hello

Using PicLaser since a few days, I'm experiencing regularly a "Unhandled exception" error message by loading a bmp file.

Is this a known bug? Is there a fix for it?

Regards

Robert

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Robert,

Are you doing your image editing in another program? If so, that error may be when an image is opened that is not in a correct Windows bmp format.

Can you also attach a snapshot of your PicLaser settings? There may be something there causing this error also.

Thanks.
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

You must be right with the error in the bmp file. I have tried now to first load the same picture in the PicLaser image editor, just save it without changes and the error is not showing up anymore.

I'm using Corel Photopaint 7 to edit the images and save them under bmp files. I will check the Corel settings to see if it helps.

Thanks for fast answer and have a great day !

Regards from Switzerland,

Robert
