EmBlaser 2 PicEngrave & PicLaser Settings

Postby Picengravertoo » Tue May 02, 2017 4:06 pm

For those EmBlaser 2 owners that are disappointed with the quality your getting when 2D/3D raster laser engraving images using the EB2's included software, here are some starting place settings for using our Professional image to gcode software programs PicLaser or PicEngrave Pro 5 or 6.

https://www.picengrave.com/Pic%20Programs.htm

The PreCode & PostCode should be set the same in PicEngrave Pro 5 or 6 as show in the PicLaser settings. Set the G0 Z value in the PreCode based on your material height plus the Mat thickness. Refer to the EmBlaser 2 manual for the Z axis & Laser's focal height calibration instructions.

This information was given to us by an EB2 owner and we can not confirm/verify these settings with any in house testing, so we recommend you test with caution.

Unfortunately, the most mature/reliable grbl gcode streamer available (PicSender) can not be used with the EmBlaser 2 like it can with the EmBlaser 1. You will have to load & run the raster gcode files generated with our software programs in the supplied streaming program for the EB2.
