Jan,
What version of grbl are you using? Grbl 9 versions do not support Automatic setting changes and does not have a Laser mode.

Jan,
Yes, PicLaser only imports image files. It will only convert image files, not vector files, to .bmp.

Jan, First, with PicSender set to 'Spindle' mode, manually jog your Z height to where you want it and click the blue 'Zero Z' button. Then you must switch grbl to laser mode. At the bottom of the main PicSender screen is a HELP button. Click it, then click on the Tutorials button in the popup Help page.

Bob, I use one of the first Triquetra plates with PicSender, with the Triquetra code loaded into the Quick Codes feature of PicSender. Well, there are no laser diodes that will cut 1/4 ply single pass. And be leery of any laser diodes advertised to be over 7 watts. For cutting 1/4 ply single pass, you will have to go with a CO2 machine (probably around 100 watts or better), but that brings up another problem. To have a CO2 with a 3...
